I will never forget the day my dad got really
furoius with one of the priests in his church (not that
it matters but it was a catholic church). He had talked
to the priests about animals, and for him what was
closest at heart was our dogs. The subject was if
animals go to heaven i e do they have a soul and the
priest said no. We were all very upset about this.
The spirit (or whatever you call it) is in all living things
and life/heavens/souls is not an exclusive for humans.
At least not according to my beliefs.
Today I read in the New York Times that chemotherapy
is now being performed on dogs with cancer.
