Soak me in colours

It is already Tuesday and almost mid August and the hours are flying by. The river of life is taking some interesting turns at the moment and autumn is starting to make its presence known by shorter days and slightly colder temperatures.

To get a bit of extra colour boost I visited the Saatchi gallery on Sunday. It is completely free and the art work is not restrained by barriers or big glass screens giving the crowd the opportunity to come close and almost play - which of course I did :)

As I went by myself I had to ask other people to take the pictures and soon they wanted to play too and my visit ended up with a lot of smiles and laughter. It takes so little to create a bit of fun if you just have an open mind.

Illusions

Me and gorgeous designer S took a short excursion to Dalston House where
the Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich has created an installation of a Victorian
house on a vacant slot with mirrors  positioned overhead. It creates quite the
illusion of the house that previously used to stand in the empty spot.
The installation is part of the Beyond Barbican project.

The queue was over an hour long and my leg started protesting against the 30 degree
heat so we watched people playing around for a while before we sat down in the shade
with organic ice coffee and lemonade. If the weather cools off I might venture back this
weekend as it is the last week of the installation.

Now it is time to go to sleep. Busy day tomorrow and then it is da weekend.
Lots of love!

Weekend belles

There is something magical about going to a museum on a Friday night.
Usually it is pretty quiet compared to the rest of the weekend and you feel like you
are a very exclusive guest in this amazing environment. Although Friday night's
visit to Somerset House and the Valentino exhibition was very busy I still felt
very special and the dresses..... mamma mia.... the dresses. It was fascinating to
see these beautiful creations worn by Jackie Kennedy when she married Onassis,
Meryl Streep, Twiggie, Anne Hathaway, Julie Roberts, Charlize Therzon, Anne Hathway
and I could continue counting for another good couple of pages. After taking
in so much beauty I went for a little tour through London - Chinatown, Covent Garden
and Soho and I do love my city and its never-ending dwindles and opportunities.

Saturday was circus school as usual practicing different transitions and crashing
20 times and waking up today quite bruised and a little bit sore. Afterwards I
headed down to South London for a visit to a friend and baby - India. There
is something special with these little girls smiling at you. As I was in the neighbor
hood and it takes me around an hour to get there I visited old old friends for
a lovely dinner and catch up. Life is so amazing how peoples paths cross to grow
apart to the converge again. Amazeballs!

Now I am off to Kensington and Equinox for a session with a new PT at a new gym
and then catch up with American babe M at Wholefoods - my favorite shop ever.

Rock on Sunday!
Lots of love!

And more art

When scouting different places
to go I found SO many exhibitions
I want to go to. I am a sucker for photography
and next week we will continue our journey
in the world of arts. This time it will be
national Portrait Gallery with an exhibition about
the Golden age.

Glamour of the Gods, see you next week.

Lots of love

Cuddle in the wild

British photographer David White travelled around the US - capturing wild domesticated animals on film. Fancy a tiger as a pet, a chimp as your baby or an elephant to help swing the kids around?

During his career mr White has made photo books of everything from school for future presidents in Russia to binge drinking in UK.

Concrete

On Saturday a new Gallery opened in Stockholm with objects made solely out of concrete. Its located on Liljeholmen next to Färgfabriken. The gallery is called Concrete Art Gallery Academy and from what I can see definitely worth a visit on your next trip to Stockholm.

Concrete, not exactly being associated as the most glamourous material for art work, has had somewhat of a revivial the last century. The material has a special charachter because of its roughness and as for me personally I love the grey colour and find it very calming.
