Free

All day I have been filled with a longing.
A longing to let my body out - to hit the water and float
through. After a long day at work, hitting heavy weights during
lunch I finally managed to squeeze in 20 min of water time.
Love love love it.

Yesterday evening we went for Mexican lunch in Islington, had drinks
with music producer N at organic gastro pub the Duke of Cambridge,
checked in at the Hoxton hotel and went to the Aubin cinema to see
one of my favorite movies so far - the dark knight rises.

Life is sweet.
Life is full of freedom and beauty.
Savor it!

Photos and dumplings

Yesterday was such a fab day. Had an amazing session
with James D'Silva in his Garuda studio and headed straight
down to South Kensington and National History Museum to
see Wildlife Photographer of the year. An amazing photo exhibition
showing us how beautiful and creative nature is. All the impressions
made us so hungry we headed off to Gessler at Daquise for
amazing polish food - dumplings, beetroot soup and a warming
honey vodka shot.

In the evening I was invited to dear friend S
who had cooked lovely salmon in Prosciutto for me and with full
tummies we ventured into the darkness of the cinema to watch Ides
of March with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling.
I really liked the movie but sometimes it was hard to follow if
you are not familiar with the set up of the American elections.

Today is Sunday and I have already stuffed away all of my summer
clothes. Next time I will be unpacking them, Mexico and Cuba won't
be far away. But until then I will be snuggling up in warmth and
fluffiness.

In a few hours I am having brunch with fab Aussie veterinarian
M. Life sure is fun!

Have a fab day.
Lots of love

Slowing down with Sir David

What is better after a long intense day than cuddling up
in our lovely sofa and chill out with Sir David.
There is something about his voice and about his way of
seeing the amazing phenomenon of nature that calms me.

If you have the opportunity to see Planet Earth by BBC
I can highly recommend it. It amazes me how beautiful our
earth is and how there is a never-ending variety of species,
traditions and people.

Life sure is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

Slow down

Sometimes on Saturdays I struggle a bit to slow
down from the intense week. If I am not on a tight
schedule or have to be places at set times I train myself
in stopping, enjoying the moments and not just streamline
every step I take and every move made during the day.

Today was a lovely sunny brisk autumn day and I absolutely
smashed training today. I haven't done the Garuda since
I started my new training program and my knees are
really good again. Just need to see the doctor to get that
confirmed.

Tonight I saw Drive - the new movie with Ryan Gosling.
It is very different - for an action movie it doesn't have that much
of action but still somehow has. Well, since that wasn't a very good
explanation I guess you have to go see it for yourselves.

Tomorrow I am meeting dear old friend M for dinner and otherwise
studying for the big test next week.

How is your weekend guys?

Lots of love

The way of the warrior

I think I don't exaggerate when saying that Warrior is one of the best movies
I have ever seen. Ok, most of you probably won't be that impressed.
it's a fighter movie about mixed martial arts and contains some quite cool
scenes. But the movie is also about forgiveness and family
ties. Do you forgive someone who wasn't there for you or betrayed you?
Do you forgive the people in your family although it still hurts?

Unfortunately I have experienced this is in my own family. I haven't
spoken to my oldest brother since my fathers funeral - seven years
ago. My mother passed away when I was fourteen and now I have
my beloved sister, who means the world to me, left and another
brother who is very occupied with his life.

The things that have happened in my family - I just don't know if I can
ever forgive them. But movies like this bring up the question and also
I guess a bit of the sadness. After all I didn't just loose my parents - I lost
almost all of my family.

Warrior is about fighting. Not only in the cage or ring or whatever your
thing is. It is also about fighting for what you love. And that forgiving is a
blessing.

I am not ready to forgive. I don't know if I will ever be.
I just hope I can try some day. Until then I will be fighting.

Have a good kick off of this week all you warriors out there!

Lots of love

Coco Loco

Coco here, Coco there, Coco everywhere....

Everywhere you look there is something about one of the world's greatest fashion icons - Coco Chanel. 100 year's after she opened her first shop in Paris in 1909.

Tonight I had the pleasure of witnessing the story of Coco where Audrey Tautou plays Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. Wow! Fierce! Beautiful! Strong! Words cannot describe my feelings.

For me Chanel - reminds me of my mother. The suits, the smell, the looks - simple but elegant. A strong woman with a big heart.

So this one is for you mum - wherever you are...

Sleep tight!!!
