Coming back to training after a period of, shall we call it less physical activity, can be very frustrating. You are not as strong as you used to be and you struggle because your body is aching and shaking and - at least for me - your ego hurts.
By trying too hard your body tenses up and you compress. By creating space you get stronger and your training gets a new dimension combined with a better posture and a new senceof connectedness. Ok I know this sounds strange but by using space length and opposition you create space and space eases up any movement.
after having hit the studios and massage benches hard my body aches, but feels good. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to feel. A muscle that is too stiff gets numb and I take my little soreness as a good sign. I can feel again. Gyrotonics surely is amazing!!!
Now I will creep down under the sheets - tomorrow morning I am off to ashtanga yoga and then a long fika session with a massive bunch of blondes at Scandinavian Kitchen!!!
