Velez, just outside of Malaga is truly a hidden gem and on Friday night we were welcomed by the owners of our home for the weekend - Nick and Leslie - in the Palacio Blanco. Nick and Leslie sold everything they had in the uk a couple of years ago and invested in building a gorgeous boutique hotel 30 min outside of Malaga. Him being an architect and her a window dresser at Miss Selfridges - you can imagine how gorgeous the place was.
The fourteen of us taken care of as if we would have stayed with our parents - and believe me we are not always an easy bunch to handle.
Between Friday and Monday we managed to squeeze in a day at the beach, the famous Miami Vice dressup party on Saturday night, spa sessions and on Sunday a drive up to the romantic village of Comares in the mountains were we were once again welcomed with open arms (not to everyones delight since the owner of the place is an eccentric nutter with male preferences).
Monday meant playing the waiting game at the airport for six hours before we headed if to a big hotel complex provided by the airline (air lingus - you are not on my good list right now)!!! The good thing was being able to spend some more time with the group and watching the sunrise from the beach.
Today is THE big day - at 6pm a man with a van will turn up to ship my "pick and pack" to angel and my new home.
Life right now is travelling at thespeed of 280kn/h.
I'm hanging on and enjoying the ride.
Lots of love and dreamy smiles
Golden Girl Miami Vice outift :)
