24 h after the workshop I have finally been able to eat again. I got so full yesterday from the fabulous and healthy raw food work shop. Since everybody is quite familiar on how to make a salad focus was on making pies, porridge, sauces, ice cream, cheese… and everything else but raw.
My favourite was the Christmas pie with a crust made of almonds, brazil nuts (paranötter), vanilla, gingerbread spices blended together with some fat (oil or cocoa fat) and water. The filling was cashew nuts, rose water, lemon zest, saffron and honey. On top blueberries, vanilla and honey. Ooooooh pure delight.
I also learned very interesting things yesterday – especially about protein. I always thought that in order to get enough protein you have to either eat some kind of meat or leguminous vegetable or dairy product. According to recent studies green leaves contain some of the best amino acids (proteins) for our bodies and by drinking a green smoothie (made by green leaves and fruit) we can satisfy our entire need for protein.
The simplicity and pureness of raw food is so amazing.
