Old school glamour

This weekend I had the joy of experiencing some true old school glamour.
A new venue has opened in the neighborhood - Hoxley and Porter.
A gorgeous Victorian themed bar and restaurant to lighten up the dark autumn
and winter nights ahead of us.

Being a dare devil of course I had to try their Scorpion drink with a real scorpion
in it and apparently enough alcohol for four cocktails all in one. I am not a big drinker
but I like to let my hair down every now and then and when meeting my sweetheart
artist and painter friend N I knew it was the perfect occasion.

Otherwise the rest of the weekend was very relaxed and slow and I managed to
catch up on a lot of missed sleep and to get back into the groove.
Life is incredibly exiting at the moment and I can feel a new wind of change
blowing. Where it will lead is all part of the joy of discovery and adventure :)

Lots of love

Still alive

Sorry for the lack of updates but the last couple of days have been so full on I have hardly had the time to stay in touch with anyone. No updates yet but things can get interesting further down the line :-)

One thing I can tell you about though is the amazing yoga run I did last weekend called the Glöanna yoga run. You get a champagne shot, run 5k followed by an hour of yoga and picnic in the park with lots of beautiful people. There were lots if freebies, hula hoop classes and massages. A gorgeous start to the weekend :-)

Run to the beat

Phew finally I am back home after a week of dog sitting in North West London.
It has been a very intense week and I cannot begin to describe how nice it is to be
back home sitting in my own bed :-)

Today's I did Nike's half marathon Run to the Beat - 13,000 people running around Greenwich
park - a gorgeous day and so much fun. Vita Coco had a yummy rehydration station and
Jessie J and lots of great DJ's were playing. I am so doing it again next year.

My time was decent for the 13 miles and I put it down to the lovely dinner
I had with lovely girlfriend KV at XO the night before. Chicken har gau (like a spring roll with
salad and peanuts, aubergine and lychee curry and a trio for desserts).

I am so tired although it isnt even ten o'clock - running is the best sleeping pill.

Sweet dreams my dear ones :)

Contrasts

Boy oh boy - I made it! With a bit of a cold trying to tie me down,  manic times at work, a crammed social schedule and a fe worker challenges going on it has been a full on week!!! I have taken down training a notch during the beginning of the week - keeping my sessions to two lighter ones, some core work and a light run - all time low being me but my body and mind wouldn't have benefitted from anything more.

Today I experienced the mother of contrasts from a very formal banking institution to a bubbly designer workshop with sushi and fun at Lululemon in islington. It is such a great brand and I love everything about the community and about the things they do for the yoga family around the world.

Tomorrow I am going for a long run and then I am off to Stockholm for friends, training and relaxation. It is bank holiday in the UK and I have extended it with another day so four days of HOLIDAY :-)

Have a fabulous one dear friends!
Will make sure to keep you posted from the beautiful land in the north! Lots of love

London life

Being exhausted I am going to let the pictures so most of the talking tonight. But in short - life is amazing and so exciting and London continues to amaze - crazy days, amazing nights and exciting things ahead :) And to get a three course meal for 25 pounds with a virgin apple mojito and coffee in the best of companies is just the perfect ending to a very interesting day!!!! Sweet dreams!

Crazy times

It is a beautiful Sunday morning. You know when you wake up and everything is
so quiet and peaceful and you feel you have an eternity ahead of you.
This week has been full on but lovely and full of so much fun and new doors
opening.

On Thursday it was the leaving drinks for dear, dear friend, colleague, partner in crime
and French darling L - we ended up having breakfast just the two of us in the Heron tower
on the 40th floor taking in the view of London before crawling back home at 4.30 am :)
I will miss seeing him every day but I know that although I might have lost a colleague
I still have a friend for life.

Friday was surprisingly productive at work and just a cozy nice evening at home. Saturday
meeting my friend adorable little puppy Lily who I will dog sit for ten days in September.

Afterwards I headed to the beautiful Lululemon people for some grounding,
soothing ISHTA yoga - one thing I will make sure to check out when I am in
Sweden next weekend. I love the community at the Lulu centres - they are full
of hugging, smiling and sweet people and it always gives me such a buzz to go
there.

Saturday evening we went to gorgeous Swedish restaurant Lisa's in Notting Hill for
a crayfish party and delicious summer drinks. There was singing, funny hats, flowers
and live music. Lisa's opened three months ago and are already a huge success in the Swedish
community.

Nope time to get some work done.

Soak me in colours

It is already Tuesday and almost mid August and the hours are flying by. The river of life is taking some interesting turns at the moment and autumn is starting to make its presence known by shorter days and slightly colder temperatures.

To get a bit of extra colour boost I visited the Saatchi gallery on Sunday. It is completely free and the art work is not restrained by barriers or big glass screens giving the crowd the opportunity to come close and almost play - which of course I did :)

As I went by myself I had to ask other people to take the pictures and soon they wanted to play too and my visit ended up with a lot of smiles and laughter. It takes so little to create a bit of fun if you just have an open mind.

Who you gonna call - Moth busters

What a great start to the week! Good leg workout at lunchtime and an all clear from my doctor to go back to running - the leg is healing according to plan and the tingling and little pins I can feel in my shins and thigh are nerves growing back. The human body is so amazing!!!

Afterwards I had dinner at Indian vegetarian restaurant Sagar by Tottenham court road with sweetheart C who always gives me such a great boost. There was no end to the food and I have a delicious lunch bag to brighten my day at work tomorrow.

When I came home a gorgeous package awaited me from dear friend M - little lavender bags to fight of the moths in the house. I am deeply touched! I do have the most amazing people in my life!

Time to sleep - although there will not be too many hours of sleep pure bliss will suffice to get me out of bed tomorrow morning. Lots of love and sweet dreams!

The taste of summer

The first week of August is behind us and on the doorstep is another exiting
week. The lovely summer weather continues to make London so loveable and
even the busiest of streets seems to slow down and stop for a while and take in the beauty.

I am experiencing a new found love and hunger to explore my city.
Today I ventured to the West to start my Sunday with lovely soothing
ISHTA yoga at the Lululemon Showroom in Chelsea. ISHTA stands for
Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda and is a soothing yet
powerful practice. It was just what I needed and meeting up with the
Lululemon crew always leaves me with a big smile.

Colors, fun and most of all functional workout wear

Afterwards I was off to Richmond to celebrate a gorgeous 1 year old girl
with barbecue, Swedish pancake cake and fun and games. Now I am cuddling up
in bed, content, with the smell of strawberries and all the lovely flavors of life in
my head. Sweet dreams dear ones.
